Home-based Memory Care for Your Family Members with Dementia
Is the challenge of finding a safe and secure memory care facility becoming too frustrating?
With recent events and recommendations based on the COVID19 virus, now more than ever the smaller setting for those with dementia has proven to be the best option.
Residents are not alone during this time and remain in a true home with social space vs. an environment where they may feel lost, afraid and secluded in their rooms.
At Legato Living, you can rest assured that mom/dad isn’t alone and will feel safe in our smaller setting.
Whether in early or more advanced stages of memory loss, we are qualified and committed to providing the best care for our Residents and their families.

Legato Living Specializes in Friendly Smaller Setting Memory Care Environments for Your Loved Ones
If you are responsible for finding care for a loved one suffering from dementia or other memory-impairing disorder, you already know the limitations of many resources that are incompatible with their specific care requirements. Worse yet is finding one that actually has medical qualifications but falls short of your social setting expectations. Our unique smaller setting creates a comforting environment where interaction with other residents and care staff is preserved.
Home Cooked Meals
Our staff prepares and serves meals cooked in the home of the residents. The comforting smells, sights and sounds of meal preparation in the home can be appreciated by all residents complimenting the smaller setting experience for your loved one. Residents are encouraged if yet able to help with meal time prep and clean-up increasing their sense of belonging and self worth.
Plan of Care
Each Resident, upon admission, has an individualized Plan of Care. It includes ambulation, bathing, bowel and bladder, communication, dietary needs, dressing, laundry specifications, and oral cares. For a personalized touch, personal preferences, social history, and hobby information is included. Care plans are reviewed and updated annually by the administrative team and the family.
Each home has 1-2 bathing areas, with a walk-in shower. Every bathing area is equipped with a shower chair, grab bars, non-slip mats, and hand-held shower heads. Our Caregiving staff is trained to assist our residents with any bathing needs. A Resident’s bath schedule is set up upon admission per the family and resident’s request for number of baths per week.
Caregivers assist each resident, as needed, with dressing. For those residents in the early stages of dementia, assistance may be ensuring that clothes are appropriate for the weather, that clothes are not layered (wearing two or more of the same item), and making sure that fasteners are secured. As the dementia progresses, we are able to offer more assistance as the resident needs including being able to provide total assistance.
Grooming and Hygiene
Our Caregivers assist our residents daily with oral hygiene, shaving, nail care, and hair care. Once a week, we have a beautician available at each home for hair cuts and styling. This can be set up on a weekly basis or on an as needed basis, per the family’s request.
